Widowmaker Trail Run
It was the kind of Spring day we hope for, warm and calm, that made for a perfect resumption of Strider in-person racing after the long pandemic layoff. This is a challenging course but everyone seemed to enjoy it once they finished gasping at the finish. James Roche was strong as ever as he won the 9-Mile with his daughter on his shoulders. Rich Connors followed him in for second. Michelle Oberndorf was the first woman and 4th overall.
The women prevailed in the 6-Mile distance with Esmeralda Rostel and Angie Leonhard finishing First and Second. Michael Roche was the first male keeping up the family tradition set by his brother. Only one runner required stitches and we thank those that took the time to help her out. Thanks also go to Conrad for being on sweep and picking up flags and to Larry for timing.
